Tracking The Werewolf

Creative rendition of a werewolf
Source: Wiki: Werewolf Physiology

The story of "Tracking The Werewolf" written by Morgan Smith, is a predated werewolf story that follows one man's experience in tracking a werewolf. The introduction did a good job of explaining the story and what it was going to entail. The intro is what ultimately reeled me in to want to read the rest of the story, and did a very good job of it. The title was gripping and exciting, but I wish it was a tad bit more creative. I think the overall page layout was very good, and I really appreciated the font/style/general layout. I also really liked the images that the author provided within the blog posts, there are lots of useful visuals.

The story of "Toto's Adventures In Oz" is told from the perspective of Toto himself. I really liked this idea and I thought it was very creative, I love story rewrites that offer a new perspective. I think the title was straight-forwards, but intriguing. I also thought that the introduction provided just enough information to pull me into the story. My only critique, however, is that I do not like the layout of the page. I thought the header images were generally grainy and took away from the overall aesthetic of the blog. I thought that the rest of the layout, however, was effective and accomplished the goal of the storybook assignment.

The story of "Louisiana Animal Folktales" written by Ashley Kessler is a multi-part story of Henry the alligator's journey. I thought that the story was very playful and whimsical, I appreciated the story for what it was. Like the other titles, this one could also benefit from a bit of creativity. I thought that the introduction was useful and set up the rest of the aspects of the story nicely, and the layout of the page was easy to follow, I especially appreciated the embedded link to the next part of the story. I liked the graphics and the general layout, I do not really have any complaints as to the layout.

Week 5 Story: The Modern Buddha

Buddha Figure:  Source          Of course, everyone knows the story of THE Buddha. But what about those doing good for others without recognition. Those people who do right in the world without anyone ever knowing? Well, that is what my brother aimed to do when we were young. We are old and tired now, but when we were young, my brother and I would travel around to the poorest areas in the villages at night. We would drop off bread, clean water, and other necessary material goods. We wanted to be anonymous. Of course, we went our separate paths and I got married and had children, but my brother devoted his life to the public without ever once being publicly known, he never wanted any fame or fortune, he did not want the attention. In fact, he wanted quite the opposite. My brother is dead and gone now, so that is why I have finally decided to tell his story.       My brother went to jail at age 17 and was away for 6 years. I do not want t...
